Harper knows full well, from poll after poll, election after election, that after half a decade the majority 60-something% of Canadians still oppose him.
But he still wants to impose significant changes upon Canadians that he clearly knows that the majority of us do not want.
So what does he do? He turns to the remaining 30-something% minority and blatantly asks that minority to give him majority power over everyone so that he can impose his changes without any obstruction.
This is a person who clearly has no regard or respect for the democratic will of Canadians.
What Harper is asking to receive
If a contractor that has been working on your home for 5 years is strongly disliked by 3 out of the 5 members of your family, shouldn't that contractor be replaced?
And if that same contractor then comes and insists that you now sign a 4-year contract with no cost limit, with no way to back out, and no guarantee, would you sign the contract?
This is exactly what Stephen Harper is trying to get us to do when he asks for majority power over us.
Would you sign the 4-year contract? Or would you send the contractor packing?
